Community Engagement Committee

From January through March of 2018, the Superintendent's Finance Committee met to discuss the district's current financial status, evaluate the district's financial projections, provide feedback on potential cost-saving measures, and help plan for the district's future financial security.
The committee was made up of community members, parents, staff, and Board members from the CCSD 89 district. In March of 2018, the committee presented its conclusions to the Board of Education.
In April 2018, many of the members of the Finance Committee joined the Community Engagement Committee. This committee worked to engage all CCSD 89 residents in a process that helped set the financial direction of the district.
