CCSD 89 superintendent search

The Community Consolidated School District 89 Board of Education has begun the process of selecting the district's next superintendent. The Board of Education will lead the selection process, with assistance from Hazard Young Attea Associates.

The search process included surveys and forums with students, families, staff, local organizations, and community members. These meetings helped identify the characteristics and attributes the community prioritizes for the next superintendent.

The community will be updated on the search and opportunities for input on this page (www.ccsd89.org/superintendentsearch), via email newsletters, and through the district's social media channels.

Dr. Emily Tammaru will serve as superintendent until June 30.

What's next?

At the Board of Education meeting on April 17, Doug Eccarius was unanimously selected as the next superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 89. Eccarius is a veteran educator with experience at both the elementary and middle school levels. Read more: bit.ly/3onUSKO
