Physical education is available to all students in Community Consolidated School District 89, starting in kindergarten.In CCSD 89, elementary students participate in daily physical education. Students develop the knowledge, skills, and habits that lead to a lifetime of health enhancing behaviors and activity. The physical education curriculum supports the Illinois state standards for physical development. Students participate in developmentally appropriate activities that aim to improve:
- Motor skills
- Fitness levels and knowledge
- Cooperative interactions and leadership skills
