Mrs. Lauren Semorile

Mrs. Semorile is originally from Rochester, Michigan, but her journey led her to Chicago in 2010 to pursue her education at DePaul University. She graduated in 2014 with degrees in Elementary Education and Sociology, along with endorsements in Middle School Social Sciences and Language Arts. Mrs. Semorile began her teaching career in Chicago’s South Loop, where she spent six rewarding years teaching third and fifth grade.

In 2019, she earned her Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction, from Loyola University Chicago. Her graduate studies centered on culturally responsive pedagogy and best practices in literacy and mathematics instruction—approaches she is passionate about integrating into her classroom. Mrs. Semorile values the workshop model, which allows her to deliver focused mini-lessons while providing personalized support through small group and individualized instruction.

Since joining Glen Crest Middle School in 2019, Mrs. Semorile has been dedicated to teaching sixth-grade literacy. She is deeply committed to fostering a love of reading and writing in her students and is enthusiastic about guiding them to achieve their full potential. Every day, she strives to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where her students can thrive.
