Help CCSD 89 families in need by donating gift cards through December 15
Social workers at all five schools are collecting gift cards from Walmart, Target, Jewel, Aldi. Requested increment for gift cards is $10 to $25.

Help choose the next CCSD 89 website
CCSD 89 is scheduled to get a refreshed website for the 2024-25 school year. We want to hear from families about how they use the website.

2024-25 registration: preschool will open in January, kindergarten opens on February 7
The application for tuition preschool in the 2024-25 school year will be posted on the district website on January 11.

Families can see lunch menus, nutrition info through new website
There is a new place to find school lunch menus. CCSD 89 families can see November school lunch menus through the district’s website at www.ccsd89.org/lunch

Connect with the superintendent during "Talking 89" session on December 7
There will be two opportunities to meet that day: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Meetings are open to anyone in the community.

CCSD 89 families can make connections at Winter Bash on December 5
Kids will be able to enjoy a movie or make a craft while parents can connect with other district families.

All CCSD 89 schools closed November 22-24 for Thanksgiving break
School will resume on a normal schedule on Monday, November 27.

Music Boosters selling wreaths, holiday decorations to support students
The Boosters are selling 18-inch ($25) and 24-inch wreaths ($30), as well as handmade wooden moose and reindeer ($25).

The Spartan musicians were selected from hundreds of middle-school students who auditioned.

The students chosen were: eighth graders Lillian Archer, Amelia Bartoli, Nora Martinez, and Sophie Sweeney, and seventh grader Hannah Mastro.

The app can show an estimated number of minutes until the bus arrives at bus stops, and when buses arrive at school.

Free dental exams available at your student’s school
The DuPage County Health Department will be providing free dental exams and cleanings to any CCSD 89 student who brings in a signed consent form.

The award is only given to districts that have met or exceeded the ASBO’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability.
