Miss Amanda Schmidt

My name is Amanda Schmidt and I am a 6th grade literacy teacher at Glen Crest. I joined the Glen Crest family in 2019 and have enjoyed learning about and building into the amazing D89 community. I am beyond excited to work with you students this year and share my passion for reading and writing with them. My goal is always to create a classroom environment where everyone feels safe, accepted, and included.

Along with my love for reading and writing stories, I have a passion for telling stories through dance and theater. I do that at Glen Crest by running the drama club and directing the production of the year. I also coach cheerleading and sponsor the PRISM club. 

When I'm not at Glen Crest teaching / running clubs or taking classes to further my own education, you can find me playing board games, hanging our with family / friends, or traveling.
