Mr. Koppitz holds Bachelors Degrees in both Music Education on the Choral Emphasis Track and in Secondary Education. Mr. Koppitz also holds a Professional Educator License for K-12 Choir, Band, Orchestra, and General Music
Mr. Sam Koppitz
Chorus Director, General Music Teacher, & Drama Teacher at Glen Crest Middle School
Mr. Sam Koppitz is the chorus director, general music teacher, and drama teacher at Glen Crest Middle School. In addition to Chorus, Mr. Koppitz also assists with the Drama Club, Variety Show, and Musical programs at Glen Crest. He has been with Glen Crest since Fall of 2022. Prior to teaching at Glen Crest, Mr. Koppitz spent numerous years singing in choirs and acting in both theatre and musical theatre productions in the Chicagoland area. Mr. Koppitz currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education on the Choral Emphasis Track and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois where he also received musical training in conducting, classical voice, opera voice, vocal jazz, and musical theatre.
Currently, Mr. Koppitz is in the process of completing his Masters of Music Education (MMEd) from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.
