Three CCSD 89 Board Members have earned Level I Master Board member status for their service to public education. Board President Beth Powers, Board Vice President Haydee Núñez, and Board Member Tim Jedlicka will be recognized as Level I Master Board Members at the fall meeting of the Illinois Association of School Boards.

Powers, Núñez, and Jedlicka earned the IASB recognition based on their commitment to leadership activities. Board members earn points for each leadership event they participated in between July 1, 2018, and June 30, 2019.

Beth Powers  Beth Powers has served on the Board of Education since 2012, and was elected as Board President in 2017. From 2010 to 2012, she served as the Co-President of the Park View Parent Teacher Council. She previously served on the district’s Community Finance Committee. Powers earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Elmhurst College.

Haydee Nunez  Haydee Núñez joined the Board of Education in 2015. She is the Director of Career Development at North Central College. She earned both a master’s degree in social work and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Núñez has served on the Board of Directors of the United Way of DuPage/West Cook, and she chaired the Latino Outreach Committee for United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. 

Tim Jedlicka  Tim Jedlicka was elected to the Board of Education in 2011. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri - Rolla and is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Nokia in Naperville.
