Glen Crest athletes

Three Glen Crest Middle School students will be competing in the 2025 Special Olympics Spring Games on Sunday, May 4, at Marmion Academy, 1000 Butterfield Road, Aurora. The event is open to the public.

The following Glen Crest students will compete Sunday:Special Olympic athletes

  • Seventh grader Quinn Ruden will compete in the 50-meter dash and tennis ball throw.

  • Sixth grader Etienne Summers will compete in the 50-meter dash.

  • Seventh grader Eddie White will compete in the 50-meter dash and tennis ball throw.

The Glen Crest athletes’ events will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

The head coach for Glen Crest Special Olympics is Glen Crest physical education teacher Kelly Tuggle.

The Spring Games will begin with an opening ceremony that includes the parade of athletes at 9 a.m. The opening ceremony will be followed by track and field events throughout the day.

Parking is available on Marmion’s campus and at Abbey Farms. A free shuttle service will run continuously to and from Abbey Farms. Concessions and souvenirs will be available for purchase at the event.
