What Is Response to Intervention (RtI)?

RtI is a process of helping students become successful. 

The process focuses on how students respond to instruction both inside and outside of the classroom.  

District 89 uses a three tier model in order to implement the RtI process.  

        Tier 1 - Strong core curriculum delivered in the classroom setting

        Tier 2 - Small group interventions done with group of five or fewer students

        Tier 3 - Intense interventions delivered by a specialist in a 1:1 or 1:2 setting
