Welcome! I am Mrs. Plunkett and I am a second-grade teacher at Westfield. I have been teaching at Westfield since 2021. We are going to have an awesome year learning new things and having fun in Room 17! 

I grew up not too far from Glen Ellyn in Itasca, IL, with my parents and my younger brother. From the time I was young, I LOVED learning and always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I completed my elementary education degree at Illinois State University in 2016 (Go Redbirds!)  then attended National Louis University to complete my ESL endorsement in 2020. In 2022, I headed back to National Louis to complete my Masters program with a degree in Curriculum & Instruction.

When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and Bernese Mountain Dog named Duck, trying new restaurants, or catching up on reading for my monthly book club! 

I feel so fortunate to be your child's teacher this year and am looking forward to partnering with you to help your child grow and reach their full potential.
