From Glen Crest Principal Sammy Smith Mr. Boeing and I truly appreciate and value family and community engagement at Glen Crest.
This past week, we hosted our first Family Advisory Group. We discussed bridging the gap between elementary school and middle school as well as middle school and high school. Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 4 from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. where we plan to discuss intentional ways families would like to be involved at school. If you are interested in joining us, please email Mrs. Smith at ssmith@ccsd89.org.
Please see below for our next family engagement opportunity with Heroes of the Hallway! |

Calling all Heroes of the Hallway starting November 6! Want to be part of the Glen Crest community? Volunteer to be a Hero of the Hallway!
Heroes of the Hallway presented by Watch D.O.G.S. is a school-based program that gives our Spartans’ families an opportunity to volunteer at Glen Crest during the school day, connect with students, and help make our hallways a positive and welcoming place for everyone.
This program is open to all trusted adults of our students: dads, moms, grandparents, aunts and uncles, chosen family and more! (You must be over 18 to participate.)
Whether you can volunteer for a full day, help out during lunch or passing periods, support a school event, or simply spend some time being a positive adult presence in our building, we would love to have you! Our goal is to build a strong team of volunteers who can help support our students and school community throughout the year. We’re also hoping to have our Heroes team make an appearance at an upcoming pep assembly!
Interested in joining us? Sign up here! Come be part of the Glen Crest community and show our students that their school is a place where adults come together to support them.
We hope to see you at Glen Crest! Go Spartans! |
