Items on a desk
There will not be a summer-school program run by CCSD 89 in 2025. For the past four summers, the district has used federal pandemic-relief Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds to provide classes for students who needed to review math or reading skills. Because there is no longer ESSER funding available, the district cannot offer classes and transportation for the summer of 2025. Other outside agencies, such as local park districts and GECRC, will offer summer programming. CCSD 89 will consider options for financially sustainable summer enrichment and skill development programming for future years.

Reminder: If you have automatic monthly deposits set up for your students’ lunch account, those deposits will continue over the summer unless you turn them off through MySchoolBucks. To cancel or edit your AutoPay settings in PowerSchool, click “AutoPay Settings” in the Home drop-down menu. From there you can click on “Disable AutoPay”. Any unused money in your student’s MySchoolBucks lunch account will automatically roll over to the next school year. Families of current eighth-grade students will need to contact CCSD 89 Accounting Coordinator Wendy Nadeau at (630) 469-8900, extension 3507, or wnadeau@ccsd89.org to request that funds be transferred to a sibling or request a refund check for the remaining funds.
