Students getting on a school bus

Families can track their student’s bus trips to and from school with a free busing app. The FirstView 1.0 app can track the bus, show an estimated number of minutes until the bus will arrive at a stop, and send a notification when buses arrive at school.

Families that had been using the previous FirstView app will need to download the new version called “FirstView 1.0”. The new app will track both regular-education and special-education busing.

The new FirstView 1.0 app has a white circle with a red background. Instructions for setting up an account are available here: https://5il.co/3mukh

FirstView 1.0 requires a district code to set up tracking. The code for Community Consolidated School District 89 is: N6N3I

Guardians will then need to enter their student’s ID number and last name. The student ID number is available on their ID card or through PowerSchool.

Families can have three different alerts that will notify the family when the bus is on its way to a stop. Guardians can add other people (grandparents, babysitters, etc.) to the account so they also receive updates and alerts.
