Spring Weather Advisory Unpredictable weather patterns in April and May can lead to severe storm and high wind advisories or warnings. These events do not typically affect our school day, but they could well affect school arrival or dismissal times. District 89 closely monitors emergency weather announcements. If schools need to be closed for the day, the phone and email system will be used to notify parents, much like snow day notifications. We also share school closing information with local radio and television stations and with the Emergency Closing Center and post an announcement on our web site, www.ccsd89.org.Please make sure you have a current email address and phone number on file with your child's school.
