Afternoon preschool: 12:30 p.m. - 3:10 p.m

2025-26 preschool pre-registration is now open
Preschool pre-registration will close on Friday, January 31.

The application for tuition preschool in the 2024-25 school year will be posted on the district website on January 11.

No school for students on April 18, April 21
All schools will re-open on a regular schedule on Tuesday, April 22.

Seventh-grade students can now apply to be 2025-26 Student Board Members
The Student Board Members will represent their classmates at monthly Board of Education meetings.

Students and adults will have the opportunity to make crafts and assemble care packages to benefit others.

Community invited to donate blood May 14 at Glen Crest
Community members can support the urgent need for blood by donating between 2 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at Glen Crest.

CCSD 89 will not run a summer-school program in 2025
Other outside agencies, such as local park districts and GECRC, will offer summer programming.

Giovanni Catalano will be the next Director of Buildings and Grounds
Catalano is the facilities operation manager responsible for buildings and property at the St. Charles North and St. Charles East high schools.

“SnapCodes” used to complete registration were mailed in March
Be sure to keep the SnapCode; you will need it to complete registration when it opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9.

CCSD 89 students earn musical honors at regional competition
Twenty-three band and orchestra students were honored for outstanding musical performances at the Illinois Grade School Music Association solo and ensemble contest.

Briar Glen teacher Shawn Barth is CCSD 89 Educator of the Year
Since starting at Briar Glen in 2002, Barth has taught first, second, and third grade.

Celebrate the community’s diversity at the April 15 Culture Fair
This family event highlights multicultural traditions and customs from around the world.

Enjoy and support CCSD 89 musicians at the Music Café on April 12
The community event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Glen Crest Middle School.
