Glen Crest athletes earn championships at track-and-field conference meet

Twenty Glen Crest students earned individual conference championships at the DuPage Metro Valley Association conference track-and-field meet held May 13 and May 14 at Benedictine University. Additionally, the eighth-grade boys finished first as a team. The eighth-grade girls and seventh-grade girls finished second, and the seventh-grade boys finished fifth.

The following students earned conference championships:  

8^th grade boys

• Anthony Baldauf – 8^th grade long jump (19 feet)
• Elijah Donahue – 8^th grade 100 meters (11.78 seconds)
• Vincent Gary Jr. – 8^th grade 110-meter high hurdles (16.84 seconds)
• Alan Pikul – 8^th grade high jump (6-foot-1)
• Giancarlo Pietrasanta – 8^th grade 800 meters (2 minutes, 17 seconds)
• Evan Rubinas – 8^th grade 1600 meters (5 minutes, 8 seconds)
• Vincent Gary Jr., Elijah Donahue, Owen Martinez, Anthony Baldauf – 8^th grade 4x100 relay (49.37 seconds)
• Alan Pikul, Vincent Gary Jr., Anthony Baldauf, Elijah Donahue – 8^th grade 4x200 relay (1 minute, 44 seconds)
• Evan Rubinas, Patrick O’Reilly, Daniel Alcala, Giancarlo Pietrasanta – 8^th grade 4x400 relay (4 minutes, 5 seconds)

8^th grade girls

• Ellie Konzelman – 8^th grade discus (78 feet, 7 inches)
• Alivia Perez Allen – 8^th grade shot put (24 feet, 5 inches)
• Mia Siguenza – 8^th grade 1600 meters (5 minutes, 53 seconds)

7^th grade boys

• Andrew Woods – 7^th grade 1600 meters (5 minutes, 26 seconds)
• Logan Yates – 7^th grade 110 meter hurdles (19.02 seconds)

7^th grade girls

• Amelia Kendra – 7^th grade 1600 meters (6 minutes, 12 seconds)
• Megan Littman – 7^th grade 110 meter hurdles (19.54 seconds)
• Ashlyn Johnson, Amelia Kendra, Estelle Eltigani, Sara Jakobsze – 7^th grade 4x400 relay (4 minutes, 45 seconds)
