Enjoy student musical performances at the annual Music Café on April 20

The talent and hard work of Community Consolidated School District 89 musicians will be on display at the fifth annual Music Café. The Music Café will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn. The event is open to the community.

The Music Café will include performances from band, chorus, and orchestra students. In addition to the performances, guests will enjoy coffee and a continental breakfast. The Music Café raises money for instruments, sheet music, scholarships, accompanists, transportation, instrument repairs, and more for music students in all five CCSD 89 schools.

In lieu of tickets, students will be fundraising online in the weeks leading up to Music Cafe and can win raffle prizes. Direct donations are always welcome via Zelle to the Music Boosters at ccsd89music@gmail.com. Raffle prizes will be announced at Music Café, but you do not need to be present to win.

Some of the prizes for this year include: passes to Sunset Pool, Kane County Cougars tickets, a year of custard from Culver’s, monthly passes to Get Air; free music lessons and classes; pizza with the principal; a principal-for-the-day experience; a paper-airplane contest with the superintendent; summer camps; lunch and games with your teacher; gift cards; and much more!
