Families can provide feedback through state’s 5Essentials survey
Community Consolidated School District 89 families are invited to provide feedback through 5Essentials, a survey that schools use to gather feedback from students, families, and employees. This annual survey measures the learning climate and conditions at all Illinois public schools.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Your individual answers are anonymous and cannot be seen by the school. If there are enough responses, the cumulative results of the survey are available to anyone in the community.
The survey provides another opportunity for families to have a voice in improving your student’s school. The survey attempts to measure the “five essential” qualities of successful schools: effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction.
Families are encouraged to take the survey before March 29 at: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/
After selecting the "Parent Survey", choose "DuPage" as the county. When you begin to type your school name, it will appear in a drop-down list. For Park View and Westfield families, please note that there are multiple schools in DuPage County with the same name. Be sure to choose the Glen Ellyn school.
One parent per household may participate in the survey. If you have more than one child attending the same CCSD 89 school, you can participate in the survey more than once. If you have children at more than one CCSD 89 school, you can fill the survey out for each school.
Students are taking the student version of the survey. CCSD 89 staff members have been invited to fill out the staff version.
