Seven Glen Crest Middle School band and orchestra students have been selected to play in the Illinois Music Education Association District IX Junior Division Festival.
The Spartan musicians were selected from hundreds of middle-school students who auditioned. In order to participate, students had to submit online auditions that were then evaluated by professional musicians.
The ILMEA Festival will be held Saturday, November 11, at West Aurora High School. At the festival, students will rehearse and participate in learning workshops throughout the day. In the evening, Glen Crest students will participate in a performance alongside students from across the region.
These Spartans were chosen to be a part of the ILMEA concert:

The Glen Crest band is led by Katie Berry and Lev Garbar. The Glen Crest orchestra is led Kristi Kline and Andrew Ladendorf.
