CCSD 89 will be conducting a test of the district's emergency phone contact system on Friday, October 6. This is a Teacher Institute Day when students will not be in school. This test is designed to ensure that the district has accurate phone contacts for every student. This is the number that would be called in the event of an emergency.
At around noon on October 6, every guardian should receive a recorded voice message on the phone numbers registered with the district. There is no need to respond to this phone message. However, if you do not receive a call by 2 p.m. Friday, October 6, you need to contact your school secretary to ensure the school has your correct information.
The message will say this: Hello. This is a test call from District 89. We are calling all families to ensure we have an accurate phone number to call in case of an emergency. If you received this call on the number you would prefer to be reached at, there is nothing else you need to do. Thank you.
