Community Consolidated School District 89 is forming an advisory Finance Committee that will review long-term plans for maintaining the district’s buildings and grounds.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. Monday, November 8.
The committee is expected to meet at least three times: in November, in December, and a third date in January. Meetings will be held in the evening at the district office, 22W600 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.
Members of the Finance Committee will hear presentations about the district’s master facility plan. The committee will review options for maintaining current structures and updating mechanical systems in the buildings. The committee could then issue a report or recommendation to the Board of Education in January 2022.
The district’s Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, as well as the Director of Buildings and Grounds will also be part of the committee.
This committee is open to families of current CCSD 89 students as well as residents of CCSD 89. The Finance Committee is an advisory committee and any recommendations are non-binding. All final decisions are made by the Board of Education.
