CCSD 89 families encouraged to complete 5Essentials survey before January 27
Community Consolidated School District 89 families are invited to provide feedback to schools through 5Essentials, a survey that all Illinois public schools use to gather feedback from students, parents, and employees.
You can take the survey from your computer or mobile device at this link: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/
The free survey is voluntary and anonymous. You do not have to enter your own, or your student’s personal information. The survey only requires your student’s grade level and school, so that the results are sent to the right location. While your individual answers are anonymous, the cumulative results of the survey are posted publicly.
After selecting the “Parent Survey”, enter “DuPage” as the county. When you begin to type your school name, it will appear in a drop-down list. For Park View and Westfield families, please note that there are multiple schools in DuPage County with the same name. Be sure to choose the Glen Ellyn school.
One parent per household may participate in the survey. If families have more than one child attending the same CCSD 89 school, they can participate in the survey more than once. If families have children in more than one CCSD 89 school, they are encouraged to complete a survey for each school.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. The survey attempts to measure the “five essential” qualities of successful schools: effective leaders, collaborative teachers, involved families, supportive environment, and ambitious instruction.
Students are taking the student version of this survey in January. CCSD 89 staff members have also been invited to fill out the survey.
