Glen Crest band students shine at state solo and ensemble competition
Sixteen Glen Crest musicians finished first or second at the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) solo and ensemble contest held February 24.
The following students earned first-place recognition at the competition:

The contest was held at Stratford Middle School in Bloomingdale. CCSD 89 music teachers Katie Berry, Lev Garbar, and Paul Ropp are proud of the hard work and dedication of all the students who participated.
