Glen Crest news 4/29/18
Dear Glen Crest Families,
I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend! This week brings the final round of MAP testing for the year. Please remind your students to do their best. With the warmer weather, the kids are starting to “check out” a bit for summer. This round of MAP is how we measure student growth and progress for the year for each student. We also use the scores as a component to confirm placement for the fall. We’d like them all to take the test seriously and do their best! Thanks for your help!
Westfield’s 50th Anniversary Open House. Calling all alumni, former parents, retirees, community members, etc…Westfield will be hosting a 50th Anniversary Open House. That's right, Westfield is 50 years old and would love to invite its past and present friends to celebrate '50 Years and Growing'. This will be an opportunity for those previously connected to Westfield to re-connect and see how much we have grown. We will be planting a 50th Anniversary tree in partnership with the Morton Arboretum, burying a time capsule, providing building tours, enjoying refreshments, and meeting up with old and new friends. The event will take place on Thursday, May 3rd from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.
May 3rd is also the 2nd Annual District Art Show here at Glen Crest, 6pm-7pm.
