Date change for Glen Crest schedule/supply pick and Amazing Race

Due to construction delays, we must change the dates for the Glen Crest schedule/supply pick-up events and the sixth-grade Amazing Race. This morning, the Village of Glen Ellyn informed the school that there will be no water (including toilets) in the building on August 14. In order to have a safe environment for all guests, we need to move these events.

We will move schedule/supply pick up and Amazing Race to the following dates:

• 6^th grade students / 5^th grade math students supply and schedule pick-up (families welcome)
  • 2-5 p.m. on Monday, August 19, at Glen Crest

• Sixth-grade Amazing Race (students only)
  • 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 19, at Glen Crest

• 7^th grade and 8^th grade supply pick-up (families welcome)
  • 2-5 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, at Glen Crest

If you cannot attend the schedule pick-up on the date your grade is scheduled, feel free to attend on the other day (Monday instead of Tuesday or Tuesday instead of Monday).

Students will still be able to log on to PowerSchool and see their class schedules on Wednesday, August 14. 

Parking will be limited

The construction on our school’s west parking lot is not complete so parking is expected to be limited for supply pick-up and Amazing Race.

Families that live close enough are encouraged to walk.  For families that cannot walk, a significant number of parking spots will be open along Sheehan Avenue all the way east to Route 53. We will have accessible parking at the ‘top’ of the Sheehan Avenue hill, closest to the school's main doors. Carpooling is also encouraged, when possible.

Families can also park in nearby neighborhoods. Please be courteous of our neighbors’ ability to get in and out of driveways.

Please have patience when arriving and picking up from these events. Give yourself extra time for arrival.
