Congratulations to the Glen Crest Middle School math teams, which started the year strong at their first competition on Saturday, November 5, at Montini High School. More than 20 schools and 250 mathletes participated in the Montini meet and two Glen Crest teams finished in the top three.
The eighth-grade Spartan team finished second. The eighth-grade team included: Krishika Bandari, Sasha Bystrukhina, Maggie McIntyre, Azam Muneer, and Leo OBrill.
The seventh-grade team took third place. Seventh-grade team members were: Dea Gjata, Emily Goodin, Aditya Narayanan, Agastya Pabba, and Sreenithi Sarvaghan.
In the individual competitions, sixth-grade student Clara Pope finished 6th and Kellen Binder finished 8th.
Emily Goodin earned fifth place in the seventh-grade competition. Leo Obrill was sixth place in eighth grade.
The team’s next competition is Saturday at Marmion Academy.
