Summer school applications will be open through April 27

CCSD 89 is again offering expanded summer school for kindergarten-through-seventh-grade students. Classes will be 8-11 a.m. June 6 to June 24 at Park View Elementary School, 250 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Summer school is free. Transportation (if needed) is provided. Classes will be in-person.

The 2022 summer school program is not an acceleration program. It is designed for students who need to further review 2021-22 skills and standards. The summer school program is not recommended for families that know they will be missing one week of classes between June 6 and June 24. Current eighth-grade students would take summer school through the high school district.

Although the CCSD 89 program has expanded significantly from previous years, there are still a limited number of spots. If there are more applicants than seats at a grade level, spots will be filled in the order that applications were received. Everyone will be notified by early May whether they were selected for summer school.

The deadline to complete the form is 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27.
