CCSD 89 is hiring substitute teachers
Have an interest in helping kids and giving back to your community while getting paid to do it? Consider being a substitute teacher!
The district is accepting applications to be a substitute teacher. To be a substitute teacher, you need a degree from a four-year university and a substitute license. You can learn more about the qualifications and responsibilities needed to substitute at www.ccsd89.org/substitute
On Thursday, November 9, the DuPage Regional Office of Education (ROE) will host a workshop entitled, “Why Not Become a Substitute Teacher?” from 9 to 11 a.m. in the auditorium at 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.
The workshop will lead attendees through the steps required to become a substitute teacher, answer questions and assist those interested in completing an online application utilizing the Educator Licensure Information System. ROE staff members will present along with school leaders from DuPage County. (Please note: this is not a job fair and presenters will not discuss individual school district needs or accept resumes.)
In order to become a substitute teacher, applicants must be certified to teach or hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
To RSVP, please email cert@dupageroe.org or call 630-407-5800 for more information.
