July 9: CCSD 89 Superintendent answers frequently asked questions about 2020-21 school year

We would like to thank the many families that shared questions about the Community Consolidated School District 89 plan for in-person and remote learning in the 2020-21 school year.
We received more than 200 emails from families and reviewed each of them. In this video, CCSD 89 Superintendent Dr. Emily K. Tammaru has answered some of the most frequently asked questions:

Tomorrow (July 10), all registered families will receive an email asking them to commit to in-person or remote learning. We ask that one adult fill the survey out for each student enrolled in CCSD 89 schools. That survey will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 15.

The survey will close next week so that the district has time to plan for the staffing and resources that will be needed for the 2020-21 school year.
We know that these are difficult and complicated decisions for families. We appreciate your patience and your commitment to learning. If you have additional questions that were not answered in the video or in the online documents, you can send them to
