Glenbard Parent Series hosts free, local talks on students and parenting
The Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) hosts free, local talks with insights on students and parenting.
This year, presentations will cover a variety of topics including helping students handle complex emotions, understanding student behavior, preparing and saving for college, and social-emotional health. There are also Spanish-language presentations.
This year’s community read will be from Dr. Eboo Patel, the author of “Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation”. The book is a coming-of-age story about Muslim immigrant’s search for identity and how communities build bridges across divides. Patel is a Glenbard South High School graduate.
The GPS mission is to encourage conversation around the opportunities and issues facing families today. All programs are free, no registration is required, and the public is welcome.
