Families of new CCSD 89 students will need to prove residency July 27-31
Families of students who will be new to Community Consolidated School District 89 in the 2020-21 school year will need to show proof they live within the district’s boundaries at one of five events scheduled for July 27 through July 31.
Families should bring the original documents needed for registration to Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn, on the date that corresponds to the school their student will attend. The district will make copies of the originals.
Masks will be required for staff and visitors at the verification event. Social distancing will be followed. Only one adult should go to the residency verification event; students should not attend. There will be no classroom or teacher visits.
Monday, July 27: Arbor View students
9 a.m. to noon: Students with last names that begin A – L
1 to 4 p.m.: Students with last names that begin M - Z
at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn
Tuesday, July 28: Briar Glen students
9 a.m. to noon: Students with last names that begin A – L
1 to 4 p.m.: Students with last names that begin M - Z
at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn
Wednesday, July 29: Park View students
9 a.m. to noon: Students with last names that begin A – L
1 to 4 p.m.: Students with last names that begin M - Z

Thursday, July 30: Westfield students and anyone who needs evening hours
Noon to 3 p.m.: Students with last names that begin A – L
4 to 7 p.m.: Students with last names that begin M - Z
at Glen Crest Middle School, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn
Friday, July 31: Glen Crest students and anyone who could not attend previous events
9 a.m. to noon

Parents need to bring the following:
- Original birth certificate with the seal (copies are not accepted)
- Proof of residency Category 1 (must provide ONE of the following documents)
- Mortgage papers
- Signed lease
- Real-estate tax bill
- (If an affidavit from a local resident who attests to the registrant living with them at no cost is submitted, the homeowner is still required to provide one of the Category 1 documents.)
- Proof of Category 2 (must provide TWOdocuments that are current)
- Current gas, water or electric bill
- Driver’s license
- Home/rental insurance papers
- Auto registration
- Voter registration
The residency verification event was originally scheduled for the spring but was moved due to building closures. Families were allowed to complete registration in the spring; however, their students are not enrolled until they show proof that they live within the district boundaries.
