Afternoon bus routes may be delayed on April 8

Many afternoon bus routes are expected to be running late today, April 8, due to repair work on Park Boulevard. All buses will continue to make all the regular stops.

The district’s bus company estimates the following routes will be specifically delayed by at least 15 minutes due to the repairs:

• Briar Glen: route 4
• Glen Crest: route 12
• Park View: all routes
• Westfield: route 1 and route 4

However, as afternoon traffic increases throughout the area, other routes may also be affected.

According to the Glen Ellyn Police Department, Park Boulevard between Taft Avenue and Wilson Avenue will be closed for most of the day to allow for repairs to a power pole that was damaged this morning.

At this time, none of the CCSD 89 elementary schools have reliable phone or internet access. Phones and internet are also not working at the district office. At this time, the internet and phones are working at Glen Crest Middle School.
