CCSD 89 will not run a summer-school program in 2025

There will not be a summer-school program run by CCSD 89 in 2025. For the past four summers, the district has used federal pandemic-relief Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds to provide classes for students who needed to review math or reading skills.

Because there is no longer ESSER funding available, the district cannot offer classes and transportation for the summer of 2025. Other outside agencies, such as local park districts and GECRC, will offer summer programming.

CCSD 89 will consider options for financially sustainable summer enrichment and skill development programming for future years.
