2025-26 registration: preschool opens in January, kindergarten opens on February 5

Registration for the 2025-26 school year will begin in January, starting with preschool pre-registration on January 15.

Preschool: January 15

The link to pre-registration for preschool in the 2025-26 school year will be posted on the district website on Wednesday, January 15. Pre-registration will close on January 31. 

Families that complete pre-registration will need to provide an original birth certificate and proof of residency to Briar Glen Elementary School by 3 p.m. Monday, February 4. Students will be admitted based on the order that families complete the pre-registration form. Students not selected will be put on a waitlist.

Both tuition families and families that qualify through the Preschool for All federal program should fill out pre-registration. Preschool For All provides funding to families who demonstrate needs related to income, housing, cultural/linguistic, social factors, and/or health.

New students: February 5

Pre-registration for kindergarten and other children who will be new to the district in the 2025-26 school year will open on February 5. All new students will have to provide an original birth certificate and prove residency.

A link will be placed on the district’s website (www.ccsd89.org/register) on February 5 to complete the pre-registration process.

Starting February 28, families can submit proof-of-residency documents to the main office at the school their child will attend.

Registration for all students: April 9 

The “Snapcodes” that are used to register students will be sent via U.S. mail the week of March 10. Anyone who does not receive the SnapCode or misplaces the SnapCode will need to re-prove residency.

Registration for returning students will open on Wednesday, April 9. A link will be placed on the district website at 9 a.m. April 9.
