Park View teacher Nate Arenson honored for his work to promote healthy hearts
Thank you to Park View Elementary School physical education teacher Nate Arenson for his tireless work in promoting student and community health through the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge programs.
For the past four years, Arenson has been partnering with the American Heart Association to get kids moving for heart health while also raising money to fight heart disease.
Because Arenson helped bring the program to all four elementary schools, CCSD 89 went from 137 students raising about $5,700 in 2020 to 610 students raising $25,860 in 2021! Arenson was nominated for an American Heart Association national award for his advocacy and work.
