Mrs. Carol Marshall

I am excited to be the counselor at Glen Crest Middle School. I have been at Glen Crest since 2001 - first as a special education teacher, then becoming a counselor in 2010. After graduating from Illinois State University and earning a master's degree at Northeastern University, I taught at the high-school level before joining the Glen Crest family. 

I will be working with students individually, in small groups, and as part of classroom lessons to support their social and emotional well-being, and academic success.  I have a student-centered approach to counseling. My main job is to advocate for the needs of my students.  

In my personal time, I enjoy riding my bike, hiking, reading, and spending time with my husband and family. I love Italian food, going to concerts and traveling.  

In addition, I am a member of the Illinois School Counselors Association, American School Counselors Association, and Illinois Counseling Association.
