E-BACKPACK HAS ARRIVED!
 Outside organizations often ask District 89 to send their information home to our families in backpacks. We are now transitioning to the "E-Backpack" to provide a better way for our community partners to reach our parents and students while reducing the amount of paper sent home. We know that most of our families have Internet access at home, so we feel confident that this will be a welcome convenience for our families. There may be times when it makes sense to send an outside organization's information home in students' backpacks, but these occasions will be fewer than previously. Also, organizations have the option of providing hard copies to be placed in the school lobbies. The transition to E-Backpack will not be an abrupt change, but we anticipate that over time there will be a noticeable reduction in the amount of paper that is sent home.
