District 89 operates three K-5 elementary schools, one pre-K-5 elementary school and one 6-8 middle school.  All District 89 students transition to Glenbard South High School in Glenbard High School District 87. 

District 89 is a recognized leader in educational excellence.  We are proud that our students consistently score significantly above state averages on the Illinois Standardized Achievement Test (ISAT).  The high academic achievement in District 89 is a result of a dedicated teaching staff, involved parents and talented students.  Because of the strong foundation in District 89, our students transition to high school well and go on to attend colleges and universities in extremely high numbers.    

Learning for Life represents the mission of our work in District 89.  By extending learning into real world applications, our students will be prepared for new learning opportunities during their years in District 89 and beyond.

Staff Spotlight!

A new feature on the District 89 web site this year is our "Staff Member Spotlight" series. Short podcasts featuring one of our staff members will allow parents and community members to get to know our teachers and administrators.  We hope to briefly display how teaching and learning is occurring in District 89 schools. 

Podcasts will be updated periodically and will feature teachers, principals and other District 89 staff.
