District Profile

Characteristics
Community Consolidated School District 89 is located in the southern portions of Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, and Lombard, Illinois. District 89 is primarily a residential community of single family homes. These suburban central DuPage communities are located approximately twenty-five miles west of downtown Chicago. Residents enjoy many recreational opportunities, such as the Illinois Prairie Bike Path, Cantigny Museum, pleasant shopping districts, and beautifully lush parks. Most of the diverse cultural, educational, business, and entertainment resources of the entire Chicago metropolitan area are within an hour's drive of the district.
